FASTFOOT® IS NOW BUILTGREEN™

Fastfoot® is officially listed as a BuiltGreen™ product.

Built Green™ is an industry driven voluntary program that promotes green building practices to reduce the building's environmental impact, benefiting the homebuyer and community. Built Green™ is open to all members of participating Canadian Home Builders’ Associations.

Built Green™ adds value to new home construction by promoting and recognizing the use of practices and products that are resource-efficient and environmentally-friendly. The primary purpose of Built Green™ is to encourage homebuilders to use technologies, products and practices that will:

• Provide greater energy efficiency and reduce pollution
• Provide healthier indoor air
• Reduce water usage
• Preserve natural resources
• Improve durability and reduce maintenance

The program concentrates on four areas:

• Provide greater energy efficiency and reduce pollution
• Energy Efficiency
• Indoor Air Quality
• Resource Use (including Waste Management)
• Overall Environmental Impact

Fastfoot® improves indoor air quality by preventing ground moisture entering the concrete footing and thereby reducing moisture that can lead to toxic mold and mildew in the home.

Fastfoot® prevents concrete contamination of ground water and sensitive ecosystems.

Fastfoot® stays in place - no waste to the landfill. Waste management is dramatically improved.

Section VI of the BuiltGreen™ product listing requires a minimum of 7 points. Fastfoot® provides a minimum 25% (2 points) or 50% (6 points) by weight of waste materials collected from construction site is diverted from waste stream.
