Safety Factor
The table below details the safety factor assuming a 5" slump and a continuous pour for varying heights (left column) and diameters (top row). When the colour is yellow (safety factor is < 200%), the filling rate should be reduced to lower the pressure on the fabric (contact your ready mix supplier for more information on form pressure reduction resulting from a lower pour rate).

Technical
- Proper curing of concrete: Fast-Tube™ is a vapor retarder and should be left in place for several days to promote proper curing;
- Fast-Tube is a utility form manufactured from a woven high density polyethylene. Imperfections in the weaving can cause minor twisting and wrinkles;
- Easy stripping: Made of polyethylene, Fast-Tube™ does not stick to concrete and can be left in place indefinitely without fear of adhesion;
- Water proof: Fast-Tube™ can be left in the rain indefinitely without fear of failure or loss of strength;
- Anti-friction plane: Fast-Tube™ eliminates risk of frost uplift around the column as coefficient of sliding friction of polyethylene is very low;
- Mullen burst (FT8 -FT12) is 450 psi (ASTM #751); (FT14-FT18) 500 psi;
- Diameters 8 - 12" use a fabric with a grab tensile of 180 lbs.; diameters 14 - 16" use a stronger fabric with an increased tensile of 345 lbs.
