Monopour Process

  • Your drawings are converted into a 3D ICF working drawing, showing exact length of each marriage line and location of side supports.
  • Once our working drawings have been approved, the MP side supports, Fastfoot® and Zont™ bracing are shipped to you;
  • Pairs of MP side supports are screwed to the blocks as per woring drawings;
  • ICF blocks are glued together as per Fab-Form working drawings;
  • Fastfoot® is attached to bottom edge of ICF blocks around the perimeter;
  • Zonts are attached to brace the ICF blocks;
  • Concrete is placed using Helix® micro rebar.

    Drill Adjustable Side Supports

    The key to the system is pairs of patented MP side supports which are screwed to the plastic web of the ICF block at approximately 6' on center.  An electric drill is used to quickly adjust wall height. The MP side supports work with all horizontal ICF blocks with ties molded into the EPS.

    The MP side supports consist of a sheet metal attachment flange, 1/2" diameter threaded adjuster and an injection-molded plastic foot pad. The flange is made of solid 10 gauge steel and has a metal tab that connects with the bottom of the ICF web, preventing the side support from sliding up the block. This ensures an accurate wall height adjustment.

    The two part plastic pad allows the set screw to rotate in the foot during the adjustment process and allows for 12 degrees of angular change in all directions to accommodate uneven ground.

    Sewn Fastfoot® Corners & T-Junctions

    Fastfoot® is screw attached to the bottom edges of the ICF components, ensuring the footing concrete is completely protected from rising damp. Pre-sewn corners and T-junctions are used to make installation fast and cost effective.

    Zont bracing

    Zont™ Bracing

    The bracing was designed specifically for use with the monopour system. Scaffolding loads are transfered directly to the ground through the strongback, without interfering with the footing concrete. The system is simple and cost effective, consisting of Zont™ brackets, Zuckle™ scaffold alignment braces and site available 2x4s. Click on the image above for more information.
